Growing up on a farm with a pony, Erin had places to go and found faster ways to get there. As a Michigan State University journalism student and Circumnavigators Foundation Scholar, Erin spent a summer traveling around all the way around the globe interviewing and reporting on U.S. foreign correspondents in developing countries. After graduating, she got rolling as a copywriter in the Motor City on the Oldsmobile account at Leo Burnett Detroit. She soon answered Chicago's call to sharpen her Burnett pencil on some of America's biggest and best-loved brands - Kellogg’s, McDonald’s, Pillsbury, Hallmark, Noxzema, Keebler and Fruit of the Loom, winning a Mobius for her Kellogg's TV.
Her next jump was joining Ogilvy & Mather Chicago as Associate Creative Director where she hit the ground running. Co-leading creative efforts, in just six weeks her team landed the Sunbeam, GrillMaster and Oster accounts, developing fully-integrated campaigns which received another Mobius award and the first WPP Worldwide Partnership Program Award. Promoted to Creative Director a year later, Erin helped land major new international accounts Kotex and Suave. The Kotex work broke sales records, while her team’s long-running Suave campaign received a special commendation at Unilever’s Global Advertising Awards.
Before the cold could make her bitter, Erin packed her bags for Ogilvy Los Angeles to help reinvent an icon in the midst of a major mid-life crisis: LA's most famous blonde, Barbie. Revamping her style from the heels up (Barbie's too), Erin helped transform a tired brand from fashion doll to an experiential destination. Erin also lent a hand on ARCO and Miller Lite, and assisted Ogilvy offices in the U.S. and the U.K. with new business in the games and apparel categories.
Swapping hemispheres, Erin leapt at the chance to become a full-time freelancer in Australia. She left her mark at every ad agency in Brisbane for two years, pitching and creating some of her best work for University of Queensland, Department of Main Roads, Quintrex boats, Royal Auto Club, Conrad Treasury Casino as well as Electoral Commission Queensland, winning a Brisbane Advertising and Design Club award.
Since returning to Los Angeles, Erin led the development of international television campaigns for toys and brands like PJ Masks, Disney, Dreamworks, eOne, Nick Jr., American Greetings, Peanuts, Pixar, Frozen, Marvel and more. She's collaborated with Y&R Brands, Dailey and Associates, Mindovereye, Ntropic, Radarworks, Firedrill Productions, Rotter Group and Pereira & O'Dell, creating TV for the Harlem Globetrotters, Mattel's Little Mommy, Monster High, Polly Pocket, Disney Princess, and Cars and Planes toys. She's also had the pleasure of teaming up with McCann Erickson and Dailey Associates on IHOP restaurants' national TV campaigns, recognized as an Ad Age Top Ten Holiday Ad. In 2020, her work won a Summit Creativity Award for Gen Z advertising for the PJ Seeker TV commercial, one of dozens of spots she shot in Florence, Italy.
